Skiing Holidays in the South-Carpahian Hills

Preparing to test the slope

Taking a break at skiing at the nearby chalet

Up in the mountains resting in a chalet

Far from the famous and crowded slopes of the Ca rpathians, we do offer an alternative - a cosy athmosphere, friendly outlook, family-run businesses that cater for individual attention.
The virutally unknown area of Northern Valahia, surprises with things that are on offer - well trained ski monitors, good accommodation facilities, friendly people, much history and top sites to be visited.

1st day: Bucharest - Câmpulung Muscel
Arrival on the Otopeni Airport, transfer to our guesthouse in Valea Mare-Pravăţ, where we shall be warmly welcome. On the Princes' Road, we shall first visit the third Capital of the former principality of Valahia and we shall learn how Romania was built. Dinner and accommodation for the whole period at Pensiunea Valea Mare.
2nd day: Two former Capitals
After a delicious breakfast, we shall start a short tour to discover the whole area. To start with, we shall tour the first Valahian Capital, Câmpulung Muscel, a town that was built by the German population of the province to the North, Transylvania, people who have been named Saxons. Only half a century later, the capital city was moved to Curtea de Arges, which we shall also visit. To be discovered here is the church of the former monastery, the necropolis of the Royal Family. Back to Valea Mare-Pravăţ.
3rd-6th day: Skiing down the slopes & learning to ski
Good opportunity to get familiar with the slopes around Câmpulung, at Măţău. Our monitor shall teach those who have their first try how it works. On the 6th day, we shall have a party celebrating the end of the skiing period.
7th day: Monastery Nămăieşti and WWI Memorial at Mt. Mateiaşu
