The tour can be operated all year round, though the recommended timeframe would be May to October. May, June and October, the weather is generally nice, warm and sunny, with occasional showers. Temperatures are around 20-25 degrees Celsius, sometimes dropping in October. September is generally rainy weather, July and August tend to be high in Southern Romania (around Bucharest) - normally between 30 and 40 degrees Celsius, rarely exceeding those. First half of November is also nice weather, sometimes chilly, afterwards temperatures tend to drop significantly and the rainy weather starts. Snow can be expected any time beginning with the second half of November, though more probably mid-December to mid-February. March brings somewhat nicer weather, though we can expect snow sometimes. April is warm, though rainy at most times.
Please note: bears do hibernate during winter time (generally November to March), so chances are we shall not see them around.
Clothing: As is usual for all European and Western countries, for the chosen timeframe. Mountain equipment required for easy to medium trails. Shorts allowed, though when visiting monasteries, we advise to wear long trousers.
