Arts lessons in the area of Campulung

We arrive at a brand new guesthouse, where everything is waiting for us. Outside is a tent where we can work shielded from the sun or wind; in the yard is plenty of room to play, run, and work. When it rains we stay in a large dining room, and from the window we have a view of the mountains on the horizon. We leave the guesthouse every day for a short trip: to the city of Campulung, to the Namaiesti at the monastery, to the Toparceanu Memorial House (a poet), to the ethnographical museum, and in the hills and valley by the creek in the surrounding area. We take notebooks and pencils, and when we have a moment, we sketch what we like best about the trip. On a nice evening we go out to paint the sunset! We have art studios for two or three hours in the morning, and again in the afternoon, where we create something with our hands and imaginations. Some of these things will be brought home to show to loved ones. In addition to all this, at the end we get a CD of photos from the whole experience!

What is the working program like? For example:
Painting: we paint on paper, glass, and T-shirts
Sculpting: we sculpt figures from clay and dough, we make birds' nests and jewelry beads, etc.
Calligraphy: inspired by the poetry of Toparceanu, we write and draw with fancy writing
Textiles: we prepare and paint a cape to wear for the final party
